The Biodiversity Research Group is a dynamic research team based at The University of Queensland, Australia, with interests in conservation science and ecology. We are part of the Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Science and collaborate with partners across the globe. The Kark Group studies the patterns and processes shaping biodiversity and their implications for conservation in a changing world.

Our research spans multiple spatial scales, from global and continental to local. We apply big data analyses, spatial modelling, and fieldwork to explore a range of conservation and ecological questions. Explore our key research themes:
